Has your manufacturing business received an order that requires tooling? Need to bridge the gap between investing in tooling and payment for order completion? The National Tooling Loan Fund is open to eligible manufacturing businesses working within any sector. Supporting toolmakers and component manufacturers with the funding needed for tooling to complete new and confirmed projects.

What are the key features of the fund?

  • Investment between £50,000 to £2million.
  • Contributes towards design, development and creation of tooling.
  • Can expand a business’ tooling capacity.
  • Available England wide.
  • For any manufacturing sector, not just automotive.

What is the eligibility criteria?

  • Have a confirmed order requiring new tooling from an OEM, or supply chain provider.
  • Repayment of loan due upon satisfactory completion of tooling.
  • Difficulty securing investment from existing providers.
  • Final manufacture of the tooling and subsequent component must be in England.
  • A proven ability to complete similar projects and over 2 years trading.
  • Terms and fees will apply. Security will be required in the form of a debenture postponed to existing finance providers.
