Jeremy Taylor, a respected member of the corporate finance and business funding community, has died.

Jeremy was well known across both public and private sector organisations as a talented specialist in his field, with a limitless enthusiasm for supporting innovative businesses throughout a 45-year career. In 1995 Jeremy joined BusinessLink in Birmingham and Solihull, taking a prominent role providing access to European funding and business mentoring.

In 2012 Jeremy joined Finance Birmingham to help deliver the Advanced Manufacturing Supply Chain Initiative. He also worked for sister company Frontier Development Capital (FDC) most recently as Compliance Officer. He retired in April this year.

Sue Summers, CEO, paid tribute on behalf of the firms, saying:

“It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremy Taylor, our dear friend and colleague. Jeremy played an integral part in our team, developing best practices that will remain cornerstones of our operations for many years to come. We will greatly miss his kindness, intelligence and humour. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
