The last 12 months for Finance Birmingham has seen ongoing growth and success, with continued demand for our funds under management. With such a busy period behind us and more positive opportunities on the horizon, we held our annual away day to review business output and look ahead to 2018.
Held at Hogarths Hotel in Solihull, the Finance Birmingham team were warmly welcomed and proceedings started with an introduction reviewing our achievements to date. Our total funds under management have now reached circa £720m and support has been given to over 580 businesses across England, safeguarding and creating more than 12500 jobs. This is an amazing performance that the team is immensely proud of.
Finance Birmingham is an extraordinary business that has only grown due to the dedication of its extraordinary team. With 6 new recruits since October 2016, Finance Birmingham’s team has grown to 22 experts; all who work seamlessly together to ensure that its property, mezzanine and advanced manufacturing funds are deployed efficiently and businesses are supported.
The day continued with a short presentation by Joe Lazaris, founding partner of the consultancy firm Enterprise. After receiving an update compliance, money laundering checks and GDPR legislation we’re confident that we can continue to deliver as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager whilst remaining completely compliant in a heavily regulated landscape, even as directives change and evolve.
Sue Summers, CEO said:
“Finance Birmingham has grown from strength to strength since its foundation in 2010. Every subsequent year has seen the business develop and thrive, and we are proud to have funds under management of circa £720m. The achievements of the business would not have been completed had it not been for our team of extraordinary people. Working together we are certain that Finance Birmingham will have another good year, expanding and welcoming more team members to help deploy and manage funds that support business growth in regional economies”.
